Art & Activities Discovery Kits
Our Discovery Kits are designed to enhance and promote interest in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) through hands-on interaction and creative learning. STEAM activities and programs are an excellent opportunity to introduce concepts and promote skills that can set you up for creative, scientific, and collaborative thinking now and in the future. Our kits are available for a range of ages for a three-week checkout period. Each kit focuses on a theme and contains:
- Explorative, hands-on items
- Non-fiction books
- Instruction booklet
Place a hold or come to library to see what we have on the shelves. Kits must be picked up from and returned to the Kenai Community Library. Kits must be returned to the service desk or via curbside pickup. One kit per family please.
Sponsor a kit! The initial round of kits was sponsored by the Friends of the Kenai Community Library. If you are an organization, company or individual who is interested in sponsoring a kit, they range from $100 -$250. Please contact us at kenailibrary@kenai.city for more information.
