How do I get a library card?
It’s easy and free! Visit the Kenai Community Library and:
- Fill out an application
- Present a photo ID
- Verify your current mailing address
Children under 18 need a parent/guardian to sign and show ID. That adult must hold a valid library card.
You can also register online for temporary access.

Does my library card expire?
Yes. It expires every two years. Renew in person or by calling 907-283-4378.
What’s a PIN and how do I get one?
Your PIN lets you access your account. Set it at sign-up or reset it here. Need help? Call 907-283-4378.
How do I place a hold?
Visit the online catalog, search for an item, then click “Place Hold.”
How do I renew my items?
Log into your account and go to “Checkouts,” then click “Renew.” You may also call 907-283-4378.
What can I do with my library card?
