Thank you for choosing to do business in the City of Kenai!
The Kenai City Clerks Office issues only the following license types:
Mobile Food Vendor Licenses
Transient Merchant/Peddler License
Passenger Vehicle for Hire License
Prior to conducting business within the City of Kenai, you must obtain a Business License from the State of Alaska and register to collect sales tax with the Kenai Peninsula Borough
Please contact the State of Alaska, Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing to obtain the required State of Alaska Business License.
Please contact the Kenai Peninsula Borough Sales Tax Deparment to register to collect sales tax or request your tax compliance form.
Other types of businesses may require a permit from the Planning and Zoning Department. Please contact the Planning Department at 907-283-8237 or planning@kenai.city with questions.
