The Planning & Zoning Department is responsible for code enforcement, economic development, land development, land use, zoning, and planning. The department also collects, updates, and maintains geo spatial data (GIS) data for the City of Kenai.

The Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission meets the second and fourth Wednesday of every month.
