Citizen Science Kits
What is citizen science?
Citizen science is real science done by people like you! There are resources to match your interests with real scientific studies. Whether you share pictures from your garden to help track plant and animal species populations or take a walk in your own neighborhood with a personal air monitor, you can contribute!
The Fine Print:
- Most kits may be borrowed for 21 days, no renewals, with a max of 3 per card.
- Borrower must be an ALC card holder with an account in good standing.
- Kits are meant to only be used by adults or under adult supervision.
- Use at your own risk.
- Kits must be picked up at and returned to the Kenai Community Library Main Desk.
- The kit will remain on borrower’s account until a staff member is able to check kit condition.
- Fines may be issued for both missing/damaged kit parts or for the loss/damaging of the whole kit.
