Notice of City Council Vacancy

Notice is hereby given that the Kenai City Council is accepting application from residents interested in serving on the Kenai City Council. The Office to be filled by appointment is:

Council Member: One seats, with a term expiring October 2026.

Applicant Qualifications: Interested applicants must be at least 21 years of age, be a qualified voter of the State of Alaska, and be a resident of the City of Kenai for one (1) year prior to appointment. (KC 2-1(b))

Application Packets: Application Packets are available at the link below or may be picked up at the Kenai City Clerk’s Office, 210 Fidalgo Ave., Kenai, AK. Completed applications may be filed with the City Clerk during the application period, Friday, October 31, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. through Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. A completed City of Kenai Public Financial Disclosure Statement is required at the time of applying.
