Kenai Community Survey
The City held a scientific survey October 17 – November 12, 2025. To gather a broad range of input, this same survey was opened to all residents February 1, 2026 - March 1, 2026. Unlike a scientific survey that relies on randomly selected participants, the open survey allows anyone to take part and helps city leaders better understand what matters most to the community.
About the Scientific Survey: Toward the end of 2025, the City worked with Probolsky Research, an independent research firm, to conduct a statistically valid community survey. The scientific survey was conducted October 17 - November 12, 2025 using consumer databases. Probolsky texted, emailed, and mailed residents. Security measures precluded individuals from completing the survey more than once.
A total of 300 responses were received with a margin of error of +/- 5.8% and the results of the survey are available below. Participants match the demographics of City of Kenai residents, providing a represtntative snapshot of community opinion. The survey results were presented to the Kenai City Council on December 17, 2025 and may be viewed at the following link: Community Survey Results
Because the survey used a random sampling method rather than a self-selected approach, not every resident was contacted. However the open-link survey was intended to complement those results by allowing anyone who wishes to participate to share their feedback. Results of the open-link survey will be available and posted to this page in March.
