Kenai Trail Update

Kenai Trails Conditions:  

  • (12/17/24) The Municipal Park Walking Trails are in fair condition with moderate traction overall. Prepare to encounter icy spots. The Kenai Ski Trails are in semi-functional condition, with 75% of the trails rolled and skiable. Be aware of exposed sticks and gravel in some sections. Tracks were last set on 12/16.

  • (12/9/24) The Municipal Park Walking Trails are in poor condition due to recent rain and temperature fluctuations. Expect patches of slippery ice and exposed ground or gravel sections with no snow cover. Exercise caution while walking. The Kenai Ski Trails conditions are poor, and use is not recommended. The snow is soft and nearly at ground level due to the rain. Grooming is currently on hold until conditions improve.

  • (12/4/24) The Municipal Park Walking Trails are in poor condition due to fluctuating temperatures. Expect puddles and inconsistent traction as the freeze-thaw cycle continues. Exercise caution while walking. The Kenai Ski Trails are also impacted by soft and variable snow conditions. Tracks were last set on 12/02
