Trail Conditions Report:

(12/31/25) The Municipal Park Walking Trails are cleared, compacted, and providing fair traction. Users should remain cautious of occasional slick areas. The Kenai Ski Trails are in mediocre condition. Trails have been groomed, but icy patches remain throughout. Classic tracks will be set once conditions improve.

(12/08/25) The Municipal Park Walking Trails are clear of debris and have been sanded. Patchy areas of slippery ice remain, so please use caution while walking. The Kenai Ski Trails are unsuitable for use at this time. Updated ski trail conditions will be posted once conditions improve.

(11/26/25) The Municipal Park Walking Trails have a couple of inches of crunchy snow, but traction is good.  Kenai Ski Trails were partially groomed(rolled) today. The snow pack is too thin to groom on all the trails, so conditions are poor heading into the Holiday weekend.

The City of Kenai offers a variety of walking, skiing, and multi-purpose trails available year-round. Condition updates for trails maintained during the winter season will be posted on this page. No motorized vehicles are permitted on any trails. A portable restroom is available at the ski trail location during the winter season for the convenience of users.
