Parks Trails Update Main Picture

Trail Conditions Report:

(2/25/26) Municipal Park Walking Trails have been rolled to help pack down the snow, and traction is currently reported as good, with continued maintenance scheduled for 2/26. Kenai Ski Trails have been groomed, and classic tracks have been reset.

(2/19/26) The Municipal Park Walking Trails have been rolled to pack down the snow, and traction is reported as good. Maintenance will continue over the coming days. Increased moose activity has been observed in the area — please remain alert and give wildlife plenty of space. No motor vehicles are allowed on the trails;  report misuse to the Kenai Police Department Administrative Line. Kenai Ski Trails have been groomed; however, windy conditions have left some sections windblown. 

(2/12/26) Kenai Ski Trails have been groomed with classic tracks set.

(2/3/26) Municipal Park Walking Trails are currently clear, with trail entrances scheduled to be sanded tomorrow morning. Kenai Ski Trails have been freshly groomed with classic tracks set, though current weather conditions are creating some slushy trail surfaces.

The City of Kenai offers a variety of walking, skiing, and multi-purpose trails available year-round. Condition updates for trails maintained during the winter season will be posted on this page. No motorized vehicles are permitted on any trails. A portable restroom is available at the ski trail location during the winter season for the convenience of users.
