Real Estate Appraisal Services

The City of Kenai is requesting proposals from qualified independent real estate appraisers certified by the State of Alaska under AS 08.87 to provide appraisals for a number of City-owned properties to determine the fair market value of the properties as if vacant (site value). Many of the parcels are improved to their highest and best use and are encumbered by land lease agreements or are available for lease. The City determines annual rent by computing a lease rate percentage (currently eight percent) of the fair market value of the land. All parcels requiring appraisal are located within the corporate limits of the City of Kenai.
