Soapmaking: Making Sense of Herbal Scents

Calendar Date:
Thursday, April 25, 2024 - 5:30pm

Join us one more time with guest presenter Leticia Mitchell for some lye soap-making, this time followed by an in-depth discussion of scents. We will cover playing with temperature, building a masculine scent, and creating smells with little to no essential oils. We’ll also briefly discuss the medicinal significance of herbs. Your new bar of soap will be left overnight at the Library to set up, and you can take it home the next day. This class is designed for teens and adults. Space is limited. Sign up at the main desk or call 907-283-4378 to reserve a spot.
