Volunteer

The next Kenai Animal Shelter Volunteer Open House will take place on

Wednesday, March 20th from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm at the Kenai Library. 

All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. If you would like to attend Open House please contact the shelter via email animal@kenai.city or phone 907-283-7353 so staff has an accurate head count for seating. 

After attending Open House, all potential volunteers will be provided with the link to the Volunteer Application and Volunteer Guide. Once all documents have been completed and turned in, all volunteers whom pass the background check will be given access to online training (cost of course paid by the City of Kenai). Upon completion of online training, volunteers will complete in-person training prior to volunteering.
